Privacy Notice.

Pursuant to Mexico's Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP) and its Regulations.


1. Data Controller

Gustavo Jaime-Muñoz, individual (persona física), operating under the commercial brand EPISTEME, domiciled in Santiago de Querétaro, Querétaro, Mexico, is responsible for the processing of your personal data.

Sensitive personal data

EPISTEME does not collect sensitive personal data (health, biometric, genetic, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, union membership, or sexual life data). If a specific project requires handling sensitive data of the client's own users, this will be governed by a separate written agreement with explicit consent (Art. 9 LFPDPPP).

Minors

EPISTEME's services are directed exclusively to companies and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it immediately.

3. Purposes of Processing

Primary purposes — tacit consent (necessary for the service)

By providing your data and initiating or maintaining a commercial relationship, you tacitly consent to processing for the following purposes (Art. 8 LFPDPPP):

Secondary purposes — you may opt out at any time

To opt out, send an email to [email protected] with subject "Opt-out secondary purposes". Your refusal will not affect services already contracted.

4. Data Transfers

Your personal data may be shared only in the following cases:

EPISTEME does not sell or transfer personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.

5. Your ARCO Rights

You have the right to Access, Rectify, Cancel, or Object (ARCO) to the processing of your personal data, pursuant to Arts. 28–37 of the LFPDPPP.

Send your request to [email protected] with subject "ARCO Request", including your full name, description of the right, and a copy of your official ID. We will respond within 20 business days.

6. Revocation of Consent

You may revoke your consent at any time (Art. 8 LFPDPPP). This will not have retroactive effect and does not apply to processing required to fulfil legal obligations.

Send your revocation request to [email protected] with subject "Consent Revocation", including your full name and the processing purpose(s) to revoke.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

This website uses Google Analytics (GA4) for anonymous traffic analysis (pages visited, session duration, device type). No personally identifiable data is collected through cookies.

8. Changes to this Privacy Notice

EPISTEME reserves the right to update this Privacy Notice. Any changes will be published at this URL. We recommend reviewing it periodically.

9. Regulatory Authority

If you believe your rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with Mexico's INAI at www.inai.org.mx.
